Benefits

  • Permanent Hair Reduction: Experience long-term hair removal with just a few treatments.
  • Safe for All Skin Types: Effective on a range of skin tones, from fair to darker complexions.
  • Precise and Quick: Treat multiple areas in a single session with minimal discomfort.
  • No Ingrown Hairs: Unlike waxing or shaving, there is no risk of painful ingrown hairs.

How does Spectrum Hair Removal laser work?

The laser emits concentrated light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle. This energy damages the follicle, preventing future hair growth while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. The treatment is suitable for all skin types and can target both fine and coarse hair. It is particularly effective for individuals with dark hair, as the laser targets the pigment in the follicle. However, the treatment is less effective on very light, gray, or white hair due to the lower pigment levels.

What to Expect During a Hair Removal Treatment

  • Pre-Treatment: A consultation to assess your hair and skin type, followed by a discussion of the areas to be treated.
  • During the Treatment: The procedure is quick, with mild discomfort similar to a rubber band snap against the skin.
  • Post-Treatment: post-treatment redness/swelling might last a few hours up to a couple of days, especially in sensitive areas. Some clients may experience slight pigmentation changes, but these are temporary. Multiple sessions are typically required for full results.

Results

  • Immediate Results: You may notice a reduction in hair growth after 2-3 session. Full reduction may take 6-10 sessions depending on the area and hair type.
  • Long-Term Results: Most clients experience permanent hair reduction after 6-8 sessions, spaced about 4-6 weeks apart.
  • Maintenance: Occasional touch-up treatments may be needed to maintain results.

Side Effects/ Complications

  • Redness and Swelling: Mild redness or swelling may occur immediately after treatment, which usually disappears within a few hours.
  • Pigmentation Changes: Temporary darkening or lightening of the treated area may occur but typically resolves within a few weeks.
  • Mild Discomfort: Some discomfort may be experienced during the treatment, often described as a snapping sensation.
  • Skin Irritation: Mild irritation or bumps may appear, but these typically resolve quickly.
