How Does It Work?
The Pro-Nox equipment is calibrated to deliver a 50% oxygen and 50% nitrous oxide blend with each breath. During a procedure, the patient holds on to the disposable mouthpiece and hose and breathes the Pro-Nox blend. The patient controls the amount needed to reduce pain and anxiety during the procedure.
Side Effects
Some patients report nausea, but taking a few breaths without the mouthpiece should eliminate this feeling. Speak to the administering physician about contraindications before using.
